Today, there is a movement toward knowing where your food comes from. We seem to have progressed so far away from the farm, that children truly believe meat comes from Walmart. I doubt the Walmart employees want to clean poo as part of their daily tasks. We know from personal experience, it can be pretty smelly.
If you think about it, we are actually moving backward, away from the big box stores we created for convenience and back to the farmers markets and farmsteads. We lost that human connection and we want it back. We, at Buckeye Valley, strive to give you just that – our raw and unedited story and a great product.
We want you to see the good times and bad we experience on the farm.
From laughing at the corn-stache our cattle get after eating their dinner,
to crying when its time to wean them from their mommas.
We want to show you how satisfying it is to watch our children grow and learn on the farm,
and the struggle we face during bad commodity prices or wet and cold weather.
Farming and cattle-raising isn’t easy, but we love it and we want to share our experiences with you.
