Our Story (told for you, not about us)

Nearly a decade ago, each of us operated individual small-scale cattle farms with waitlists of folks like you who wanted access to safe meat sources they could trust. The demand was there. The supply wasn't big enough.

So we did something simple: we teamed up.

By joining forces as a cooperative, we could keep the high standards of our individual farms while finally having enough to meet your needs. We brought in other like-minded farmers who shared our values — and Buckeye Valley Beef Cooperative was born.

We started with beef. Because of your support, we've grown to offer pork, chicken, lamb, eggs, dairy, honey, maple syrup, sourdough, and a whole marketplace of local goods made by people who care about this land as much as we do.

This is your food system. We just built it for you.

We exist to shorten the distance between the pasture and your plate — and to make sure you always know exactly what's on it.

Every animal raised through BVBC is pasture-raised on Ohio family farms, free from added hormones and unnecessary antibiotics, and traceable back to the farm it came from. That's the transparency you deserve and can't get at a grocery store.

And we finish on grain — non-GMO grain we grow ourselves. Not because it's the easy path, but because it produces the marbling, tenderness, and rich flavor that makes this beef worth eating. Clean food shouldn't mean compromising on taste. With us, you don't have to choose.
